As a parent in the Wharton Elementary Parent Group, I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of the salad, pizza, and mostaccioli for our dance. Everything was truly delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful, and enjoyed by so many families that evening. We received many great reviews from parents and students who attended the dance. Your generous contribution helped make the event even more special and memorable for everyone. Thank you again for your support of our group. We will definitely be back to eat!

Very friendly neighborhood place. Though we're not from the neighborhood, which was obvious since everyone pretty much turned to have a look at us, everyone was still very friendly. Pizza was delicious - we had the supreme. The cook let us sample his homemade chicken and dumpling soup which was also delicious - hearty and flavorful. Wish we lived closer to come more often.

Nice neighborhood tavern with full bar and solid selection of drinks. I like the bar a lot. Friendly bartenders and very nie vibes. Quietly, comfortable, very clean. 10am 2am I'm definitely coming back for blood mary and margarita. The drinks in general are very affordable $5 for whiskey soda $3-4 for a beer

I don't like to leave a review of a place I've been to only once. Needless to say, I have been to The Works Tavern a few times and it's some of the best food in Chicago, especially on the south side. Mike is a culinary expert and my last visit proved it. I legitimately had the best Philly Cheesesteak I've ever had. The steak was juicy, the bread was soft and the cheese was super cheesy (10/10). The food is always fresh, the beer is always cold and my kids love the pizza! On our last visit, we ordered the fried zucchini, a pepperoni pizza, wings, and the Philly cheesesteak. Everything was delicious and we washed it down with $3 Pacifico beers. Can't beat that.
